Privacy Policy

StartADay has no account, no server of its own, and no analytics. What you write stays on your phone.

What stays on your device

Everything the app is actually for:

• The intention you write each morning, and anything you add to it.
• What you record at the evening close.
• Your alarm time, wake task choices, and settings.
• Your history of days.

All of it is written to the app's private storage on your iPhone. It is not uploaded, not backed up to us, and not readable by us, because there is no “us” to read it: StartADay operates no server that receives your content. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Do you sync it?

No. Sync does not exist in this version. If it is ever built it will be something you switch on deliberately, and this policy will change first.

What we do not collect

• No account, email address, or password.
• No analytics, event tracking, or usage statistics.
• No advertising identifiers. StartADay contains no advertising.
• No location.
• No contacts, photos, calendar, or health data.
• No third-party trackers or advertising SDKs.

StartADay does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal information.

Subscriptions

To sell a subscription, some information necessarily leaves the device. Two companies are involved and neither of them receives what you write.

Apple

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier for your installation, along with purchase and device information such as your device model, iOS version, and country. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything you write in the app. Their handling is covered by RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

StartADay uses notifications for the alarm and for one optional evening prompt. These are scheduled locally on your iPhone. There is no push server, so no notification you receive from StartADay was sent from the internet, and we hold no push token for your device.

Children

StartADay is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because your content never leaves your device, there is no copy of it for us to export, correct, or delete. You hold the only copy, and deleting the app destroys it.

For the anonymous subscription identifier held by RevenueCat, contact us at the address below and we will action a deletion request. Note that Apple independently retains its own record of your purchase, which we cannot delete on your behalf.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, the change will be published here before the version of the app that does it ships.
