Include your iPhone model and iOS version if something is broken. If it is about a subscription, the Apple Account email you bought it with is enough. Do not send us anything you have written in the app; we cannot see it and do not want to.

The alarm did not go off

StartADay uses AlarmKit, which is what lets it sound through Silent mode and Focus. It needs permission to do that. Open Settings → Alarm diagnostics in the app: every row that is not green is tappable and will fix itself, or tell you exactly what iOS is refusing.

Also check that an alarm is actually scheduled. The app shows No alarm at the top of the home screen when nothing is set.

I cannot complete the wake task

You can always change which tasks you get, permanently, without penalty. Settings → Wake task. Turn off Steps if you cannot walk when you wake, or Numbers if you would rather not do arithmetic. Turning one off costs you nothing and the app never asks again.

Every wake task can also be skipped. Skipping does not break your streak. That is deliberate.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple, not through us. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You can also reach it from Settings → Subscription → Manage or cancel in the app.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end access immediately: you keep it until the period you already paid for runs out.

Restoring a purchase

New phone, or reinstalled the app? Settings → Subscription → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple and we cannot issue them ourselves. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Tell us as well if something went wrong, so we can fix the cause.

Your data

Everything you write lives on your phone and nowhere else. There is no account to recover and no copy on a server. Deleting the app deletes your history permanently. See the privacy policy.

Requirements

iPhone running iOS 26 or later. The alarm is built on AlarmKit, which earlier versions of iOS do not have.
